Our Equipement

When we commence an investigation, We use a lot of different types of equipement. Some pieces you will be familiure with but other pieces you wont.

This page is designed to give you a breakdown of the equipement we use and how it works in helping us capture the best evidence we can of paranormal activity.

CANON XF205 PROFESSIONAL NIGHT VISION CAMCORDER

The Canon XF205 Camcorder is one of Canons professional range of video cameras with IR capability.

The XF205 uses infrared light to illuminate the area. The human eye cannot see infrared light but a night vision camera has a more sensitive sensor and uses a series of filters within to retain the IR light emitted from the IR illuminators to enhance the visible light in a given area. The image produced is a crisp black and white image due to a monochrome filter inside the camera.

IR (Infrared) ILLUMINATOR

Although the XF205 uses a built in IR lamp, This usually doesnt produce enough IR light for larger areas so here at WWG we include at IR Illuminator to our rig. An IR Illuminator can come in various sizes and the amount of IR Diodes (bulbs) vary from unit to unit. We use free standing IR Illuminators for Lock Off cameras outside which can have 50 to 100 diodes where as our IR illuminators we attach to our rigs like this one on the left uses 20 diodes. The more the diodes together with the strenth of power they produce, the more a dark area will be lit up.

VOICE RECORDER FOR EVPs

We use the Olympus WS-852 voice recorder for all of our EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena. The Olympus WS-852 uses 2 directional microphones at 90 degrees which enables us a better reach of sound. This style of voice recoder also boasts an incredible 110 hours of battery life, built in storage and SD card compatability.

The Olympus WS-852 has superb stereo quality and a handy intelligent auto mode which automatically adjusts the microphones sensitivity to match that of its environment.

KII METER FOR EMF

Here at WWG we use a device called a KII Meter.. These are super popular with Paranormal Investigators and you would have most likely have seen these used before.

In the world of Paranormal Investigation, It is believed that spirits may interact with the environment through electromagnetic fields.

By using a KII Meter at the start of an investigation, We can get a benchmark of what electromagnetic fields may be present at the location naturally which will help us identify fluctuations during an investigation ruling out possible natural causes.

DIGITAL THERMOMETER

Digital Thermometers are a great tool for Paranormal Investigations. It is believed that when a spirit is present they can have a profound affect on the air temperature in their location.

As with a KII, We always start an investigation by taking base readings around our location. This gives us a great benchmark that we can use for further temperature readings against if we start to feel unexplainable cold spots.

We use a few different types of thermometer, Some are even built in to other equipement such as an EMF Meter.

P-SB7 SPIRIT BOX

This is one of our favourite pieces of equipement. The P-SB7 Spirit Box allows us to hear spirit voices in real time. The P-SB7 Spirit Box works by scanning radio waves at a fast rate without stopping on a frequency. Spirit can manipulate these waves to produce verbal communication.

The Spirit Box sweeps at 100ms to 350ms at these speeds no spoken words on any frequency would be ligible which makes words and even sentences coming through incredible.
